TONIGHT: Sandy will continue to race off toward the southern coast and make landfall during the early evening hours. The winds will be the strongest now and through the overnight. We could see winds gust 70-80 mph at times and especially closer to the coast. Inland areas could still see 50-60 mph gusts. The rain will be heavy at times tonight and into the overnight. Temperatures hold and then cool slightly into the lower 50s late. Major coastal flooding for tonight’s high tide cycle between 7-9 pm, although flooding will occur a couple of hours on either side of the high tide times.  http://www.news12.com
